Panama City Beach selected Pioneer Technology Group’s Excise tax system based on their need for a program that would streamline their business tax registration and payment process, as well as strengthen their customer service for the public. This move will simplify the business tax processing and improve public service for the residents of Panama City Beach and visitors of the State.
Excise is a web-based program that makes business registration, online remittance, ACH acceptance, and payment of credit card and escrow accounts possible. Taxpayers will now have access to all of their account activity through a secure website. Account holders will have the ability to view and calculate the amount of tax as well as any interest and penalties that may be due on their account.
Panama City Beach marks the ninth customer in Florida to have picked up Excise by Pioneer Technology Group. Excise enables users to increase compliance through the use of advanced tracking and search features. The system has extensive audit tracking capabilities that will help the City improve collections and communication with other departments.
